Discover The Joys And Benefits of Owning Transportable Homes

While there are many people who dream of building their own home someday, the dream can become a reality much quicker when transportable homes are considered as a possibility.  Although it used to take a lot of time and money to build a home in Australia, home builders have found a way to speed up the process with a much lower cost than stick building.  The time and cost factor is a great incentive to owning a relocatable home there are many other joys and benefits to be found as well. There are many people now building eco-friendly green transportable homes.

Eco-Friendly Green Transportable Homes

Whether you have considered it or not in the past, it is becoming more and more beneficial to build an eco-friendly home, but previously, this type of home was not accessible to many due to cost to get started.  Transportable homes have made it possible for anyone to own an eco-friendly home if they so desire.  While there are still some models that are right up at the million dollar range, there are now some beautiful and more affordable designs that start at a fraction of this amount.  These homes cannot only cost less, but they can reduce energy costs substantially through the use of solar power, super insulated walls, and substantial natural light with ceiling to floor windows.

Multi Purpose

Although the green home is a great possibility when it comes to owning transportable homes, there are many other benefits as well.  The possibilities are endless when it comes to selecting the design of the home, from very contemporary to traditional, making them a suitable choice for any location.  With the low cost of building, the transportable home provides a suitable option for those looking to build income property, vacation property, granny flat, or homes for workers to live in on the farm or near a mining site.  Those who have never before realized that they could provide affordable housing options to their employees have found this to be a great use for the home that is prefabricated.

Just As Good Inside

While there is always the concern as to the overall comfort and style of a prefab home, many people can’t even tell the difference once the home is built and the furnishings are placed inside.  The designs are just as beautiful as traditionally built homes, with the same types of floor plans available.  This allows for the same level of comfort to be felt when owning one of the many prefab homes that are available today. A transportable home is a fantastic option for those just starting out or for those who just need some more space. Although most people might think this type of home would be perfect for a granny flat this would be an excellent option for teenagers that are out growing the family home. The average age for the children moving out of the family home extends every year and is currently at around 24 years of age. From late teens young people need some privacy and extra space and this type of accommodation would also allow for some independence and encourage building self reliant skills.

I see a transportable home as an option in many situations. One would be to replace homes for bushfire victims of Ash Saturday.

Another is in mining towns where accommodation would be needed on mining sites for workers in the area.

Does your company service these areas, Wal?

Thanks for your question, Jill. Quality Housing Solutions is focused on Sydney for single orders and are very keen to supply multiple orders to all other areas of Australia such as mining towns and remote communities.

I have a question regard its durability, are they resistant to pest such as termites? I know that they are cost effective but if maintenance keeps up, might as well build an actual home. Looking forward to your response. And Thank you!
