Prefab Homes Popularity
When you think of prefab homes, you might be thinking of boring boxy homes, or those that look like mobile homes. This is no longer the case. The world wide increasing appeal and popularity of prefab homes means there are a wide variety of different companies around the world that offer these sorts of homes, and you are sure to be able to find one that you would like. There are even a lot of benefits to purchasing a home like this.
Save Time
Think about it, if you want a home built from scratch on site it will usually take over a year to get it done. Why wait that long when prefab homes can be set up in a fraction of the time? This is partly due to the fact that the home can be built in the factory at the same time as the site is being prepared, saving time and making the whole process go faster.
Huge Choice Of Designs And Styles
Don’t worry about the design of these prefab homes, you can get anything from a small cabin or one room home to a large luxury home. Usually the manufacturers will have a wide range of options that you choose from in order to create your ideal home. Different manufacturers have different focuses. Some make green homes, while others focus on modern home designs that look futuristic. It all depends on what you are most interested in.
High Quality And Environmentally Friendly
Quality is also not a problem when it comes to prefab homes. Factory manufactured homes actually tend to be of better quality since the parts are not exposed to the elements during construction. They are also more environmentally friendly to produce since the process of building the modules in the factory is much less wasteful than building a home on site.
Versatility
These homes can be used for whatever you would like. You can add a small guest home or in-law apartment to your property, or an office or workspace. You can build a whole new luxury home, or a cabin at the lake, river, or near the sea. It is up to you, and anything is possible if you take the time to look through your options for manufacturers for prefab homes and the different styles of homes they offer.

Hello,
I was wanting to enquire about the costings of the granny flat plans for Joey please. Also how long is the wait time between ordering an receiving? Do we have to get council approval for installation of this type of structure in Brisbane?
Regards, Kylie

Hi Wal,
Prefab houses are such a great idea. I wonder though if it’s easy to get council permission to build them? I guess all councils are different so it would be a matter of checking with your own. The photos on your website look great – not like the prefab homes of years ago.

It is much easier now than before to get council permission in NSW but overall the paperwork is very involved. That is why it is best to hand the process over to us because we know what we are doing and we can do it all at maximum efficiency. See the checklist menu item for an idea of what is involved.
…each house must be capable of duplication and in no sense be an individual ‘performance’… It is important that the best material available be used in the best possible way in order to arrive at a ‘good’ solution of each problem, which in the overall program will be general enough to be of practical assistance to the average American in search of a home in which he can afford to live.
