A Great New Manufactured Home

Endless Possibilities

The possibilities are nearly endless when it comes to home design.  If you are considering building or buying a home, you have a multitude of options from which to choose.  One option that is worth giving serious consideration is the option of buying manufactured homes.  Prefab, or prefabricated, or relocatable or manufactured homes, are those that are built in sections or pieces off site, and then shipped or delivered to the building site, where they are assembled.  Prefab homes have a unique set of advantages over traditionally built homes, and they can meet the needs of virtually any potential homeowner.

Advantages Of Manufactured Homes

What are some of the advantages of manufactured homes?  To begin with, since they are produced en masse, the cost to build a prefab home is much less than it would be for a comparable traditionally built home.  The lower cost makes home ownership accessible for more people, and it allows buyers to get more “bang for their buck,” so to speak, by purchasing more amenities and square footage for the same price.  Prefabricated homes are also quite versatile since they are portable.  After they are constructed, they can even be taken apart, moved, and re-assembled.  The versatility of manufactured homes allows new ideas and options.  For example, some people may purchase a small prefab home and put it on their property or back yard or back garden to use as a rental home.  Still others may use them for vacation homes at the beach, in the mountains, or in the woods.   They can also be erected at building sites, mines, or anywhere that temporary housing is required.

Huge Range Of Syles

Prefab homes are available in almost any style that a person can think of.  Sizes range from 100 square foot offices and studios to 9,000 square foot mansions.  Styles range from traditional to modern, and some prefab homes are now being manufactured to environmentally friendly standards.  Some companies even specialize in building “green” prefabricated homes which can be shipped anywhere. Owning a “green” home has perhaps never been so attainable.  Prefabricated homes can also, in some cases, be customized.  Options such as kitchens and bathrooms can be made to the buyer’s standards, and some companies allow for custom floor plan modification.  Whatever you are looking for, you can find it in manufactured homes.
